About Us

Hello! Our company is Royalty Premium Coffee and is run by Emily and I (Zach). We are both recent biology graduates from the University of Georgia who have a profound passion for coffee! 

In school, we would drink coffee like it is water and knew we had to do something with it. 

We started with a small coffee roasting machine and a few pounds of raw coffee from Colombia and treated it like a chemistry experiment. We took notes, made physical observations, and refined the process from there. 

At that point, we became obsessed coffee nerds because we found that coffee is not just coffee. It is completely dependent on the agricultural techniques, roasting adjustments, and the time from when it was made. With so many factors, we knew we could use our biology degrees and science background to make the BEST coffee in the world! 

Today, we still do small batch roasting so we can maintain quality over every coffee bean that comes out from the roaster. 

We source our beans directly from the farms through an importer. A lot of our coffees are certified USDA organic and all of them are graded as "specialty" coffee. Each coffee cherry is hand-picked from the tree to ensure the highest of quality and then further sorted, leaving only the best of the best coffee. 

We are a home-based coffee roasting company, but we hope to be your coffee suppliers wherever you live.
